OPEN
Allows access to editing functions for viewing and modifying the contents of the device.
CHECK
- Check structure and data of the current device.Allows a complete check on the database of the selected device. If anomalies or the need for an upgrade are detected, the application requires the consent to modify and save the database.
- Check structure and data of ALL devices and update AUTOMATICALLY if necessary .It allows you to perform a complete check on ALL device databases. If anomalies or the need of an update are detected, the applicationAUTOMATICALLY modifies and saves the database.
COPY
It allows you to create a new device from a copy of the selected device. It will ask the user to specify the name of the new device.
DELETE
Allows you to delete the selected database.
EXPLORER
It allows you to manage the contents of the ‘Device’ folder. Files and folders that are not expected in the standard structure are highlighted in red. You can delete individual files or folders.
CREATE NEW
It allows you to create a new device from scratch. It will ask the user to specify the name of the new device and then the EFI id to use for requests to application software running on the ECU.
LOAD NEW
It allows you to create a new device from a XML file. It can be used to import a device from an external source.
OPTIONS

Show only names and descriptions in [current_language]. The option enablea to hide the texts in the language different from the selected one.

INCA compatibility – User is warned if text records are set exportable. The option enables to receive a warning message if you require to export the database in ASAP2 format and one or more variables of type text are set as exportable.

Copy XML files to XMLBeautyMirror subfolder if they have been saved properly. Enable this option if you want to create a backup copy of the last successful saving of the device database.

Check the date of the ELF. If the file date is prior to the stored date, ECT ignores the ELF file. The option can be used to prevent an old ELF file from changing the address of a database that was already modified by a newer ELF file with the same name.
PROPERTY
It lets you toggle the display of the communication properties of the device.
The properties are:
Application ID (PC > device) Id used when requesting data to the application sw running on the ECU.
Application ID (device > PC) Id used in the responses of application sw running on the ECU.
Application bitrate. Used in communication with application sw.
Application line. Type of communication line (currently only CAN).
Kernel ID (PC > device) Id used when requesting data to the kernel sw running on the ECU.
Kernel ID (device > PC) Id used in responses of kernel sw running on the ECU.
Kernel bitrate. Used in communication with kernel sw.
Kernel line. Type of communication line (currently only CAN).
Database Version. Version of the database format. To update the database version just open the device database.
