OPEN
Allows access to editing functions for viewing and modifying the contents of the device.
SET AS CURRENT DEVICE FOR THE DISPLAYS MODULE
Available for the ELF-oriented devices only.
Allows you to select which of the ‘children’ listed after the name of the root device will be used by the display module.
A device can be associated with different versions of ELF files. Each ELF file contains a specific map of variable names and their addresses. Each time a new ELF file is loaded, a new version of the device is generated and saved in an XML file where the prefix is the device name and the suffix is the name of the ELF file. In the data files used to store data for data display windows (.WDB), only the device name is stored, allowing the same display window to be used even with device versions derived from different ELF file versions. However, for communication with the device to work, the software must be informed which version of the device corresponds to the software programmed in the ECU. This information is provided by selecting the current device for the display.
CHECK STRUCTURE AND DATA
Performs checks on the structure and content of the database that are normally performed when the database opens but without actual access to the edit page.
DELETE
Allows you to delete the selected database.
PROTECT WITH PASSWORD
Allows you to password protect the device database. User will be prompted to specify a password to protect the device. Password protected devices cannot be viewed nor modified but they still can be used in the other modules. The only limitation is that only channels and calibration variables marked as ‘open’ can be used.
